Based on our experience with Right Homes we would definitely build with them again. Being a ‘second time builder’ we were very impressed by the level of care and attention to detail throughout the entire build process. Everything was constructed as it should have been, with an opportunity to preview each part of the build and to sign off on the finish, look and style. Right Homes made our lives extremely easy by coordinating all the contractors associated with the build. This included fencing, landscaping, colour consultants, pool installation and set-up of grey water and septic systems. We therefore had little to do when we moved in but settle.
The reason we selected Right Homes as a builder was their environmental credentials and practicality. Throughout the design process they were able to achieve the sense of space and openness we were seeking (e.g. 34 course ceilings), not creating unnecessary spaces we didn’t want, whilst also obtaining a 9 star energy rating for our two story home. Right Homes were also not afraid to try some new building techniques (e.g. limestone window borders) in an attempt to create a truly unique result.
With my wife and I both working, Gary, Anna and the team were extremely flexible in their approach with us. We had many meetings first thing in the morning or in the evening to suit our work schedules. Anna would often set-up our two kids with activities at the office, so that Gary could take us through the particulars of our decision making. They were also very good in keeping us to a budget. From the outset they obtained an understanding of our needs, and would coach us through the build on the consequences of those decisions. We were therefore able to invest in areas that were important to us (e.g. kitchen, bathroom, internal finishes – such as limestone cladding).
The general approach to the build and post build has been of a partnership. Whenever we have had queries or concerns they have been promptly addressed, rather than sticking religiously to contract T&C’s.
