2012 Homes and News

Right Homes continually endeavours to achieve a minimum eight star energy rating (using BERS) benchmark for all of our home designs and have been busy designing and constructing homes that are generally all above 8 stars at an affordable price.  Also having success in both the HIA National & WA Greensmart Awards this year.

The following project home has an impressive 8.5 star energy rating and also boasts a 3kw photovoltaic system with rainwater tank connected to toilets and laundry. From there that water is reused in the garden through the greywater system.  Representing value for money the home presents a very modern and classy elevation that leads into a functional and pleasant interior – despite the difficult site conditions.

Also showcasing our Sustainable credentials with winning the 2011 HIA WA Greensmart Awards for Project Home of the Year, we look at two separate Single 3 x 2 Rear Strata homes. The orientation of both lots and the fact that they were rear stratas, meant that a lot of consideration had to be given to the initial design of each home. These homes achieved 8 star energy ratings and were designed to maximize the use of nature to heat and cool the homes without artificial means. These homes were designed to be affordable, accessible, energy efficient and have low water use which will reduce the operational cost of the homes during the expected life cycle of each home.
